A Month to Reawaken ~ March’s Loving List

A Month to Reawaken ~ March's Loving List

Take this month to reawaken your days, home, and garden. And don’t forget to reawaken and spark spring joy in yourself and those around you this March.

The month to reawaken ~ March’s Loving List. When all lovely things start to reawaken, birds migrate, flowers start pushing through the soil, and if you are a basketball fan, March Madness is here.

“March arrives, the last hurrah of winter and the first whisper of spring. Slowly our spirits reawaken, along with the natural world, from a long winter’s slumber.” is what Sarah Ban Breathnach writes in Simple Abundance.

Here are loving ways to reawaken our spirits from winter’s slumber. Let’s enjoy March for all it offers. Go to March’s Awakening the Spirit eBook for the Loving the Ordinary list, journal prompts, activity pages, and room checklist.

A MONTH TO REAWAKEN ~ MARCH’S LOVING LIST.

  1. Have rain boots, raincoat, hat, and umbrella ready to dance in the spring rain.
  2. Doodle of the month: Shamrocks. My Pinterest March board has a few ideas.
  3. Give yourself a facial to brighten up your winter skin.
  4. Find a YouTube video to take your camera skills to the next level.
  5. Learn to say “Good Morning” in Irish. Or greet people like Irishman Brian Buffini, “The Top of the Morning to You,” or respond in kind, “And the Rest of the Day to You.”
  6. Start a morning routine, and try to set up a plan to start your day strong. I use my Curated Life Journal, which is my creative journal, to create one. Here is a blog where I talk about it. Or here is the Curated Life Journal course I offer to help you create one.
  7. Try Irish Breakfast Tea (Non-alcoholic); learn here how to make it.
  8. Get your FICO score from a reliable free service, and ask your bank which one they prefer.
  9. Go over the credit report and correct any issues.
  10. Learn to replace your car wipers, especially with spring rains coming – Check your manual on the kind and length needed.
  11. Complete a Sudoku puzzle; it is an excellent exercise for the brain.
  12. Sign up for a neighborhood or community park spring clean up.
  13. Spring Cleaning: make a plan to get it done or hire someone.
  14. National Learn about Butterflies Day is March 14th. Draw butterflies or take pictures of them. Visit a butterfly garden or plant a few plants for the butterflies.
  15. It’s March Madness! Basketball is everywhere. Learn a few basics. Find a team and follow them through the brackets.
  16. Fix a Saint Patrick’s Day Meal. Make an all-green packed lunch or an Irish Dinner. Check out my Pinterest Board for ideas.
  17. Wear green on St. Patrick’s Day, even if it is just a pair of socks
  18. Plan to plant an Herb Garden. Here is a blog where I talk about it.
  19. Take pictures of your yard as the flowers bloom; use your creative journal to document it.
  20. First Day of Spring
  21. Fragrance Day is celebrated on March 21, 2020. It celebrates all wonderful smelling things in this world, especially perfumes.
  22. Go fly a kite.
  23. Send a care package to someone homebound or in a nursing home.
  24. Make a list of 10 things you’d like to do this Spring and start planning when you’ll do them.
  25. Write to someone you admire and ask how they’ve achieved their goals.
  26. Try a weight lifting class or purchase some hand weights to tone up for summer attire and strengthen your bones.
  27. Plan a summer trip, whatever that may look like during these times
  28. It’s National Mom & Pop Business Owners Day – Study a neighborhood map, go a few blocks in each direction, and know the street names, local businesses, and parks.
  29. Start training to run/walk a marathon, even if you never participate or it is virtual.
  30. Find a summer hat to shade your face and one for the front door.
  31. Reorganize the bathroom; throw out unused/old products & get baskets to organize items.

Please add another idea to the list, comment if you like, or try any of these ideas below. Also, you can sign up below to be notified when a new blog has been posted.
