Summer Fun Journal Layout for My Curated Life Journal

One place for all the great ideas to do this summer. A Summer Fun Journal Layout to plan your summer activities, music and recording memories.

I wanted to start the summer with a list of things I wanted to enjoy this summer. Last year I got to the end of the summer and realized I had done half of the things I had wanted to do. Ugh, I thought ‘I should have written it down’. So I am writing it down this year. And of course I made a pretty layout for it. This is one place for all the great ideas to do this summer. A summer fun journal layout to plan your summer activities, music and recording memories.

Here is how to create it

This is a simple layout (adjust to your needs these are just what I use)

• First, my title takes up the top 3 spaces on both pages
• Secondly start with the left page is two columns divided not exactly evenly. 14 spaces on the left and 13 on the right.
• Therefore, the left side of that page – first block is 19 high, which leaves the rest to go to the bottom of the page.
• The right side of the page – first block is 14 spaces high, the second block is 9 high then the last block is what remains. Again please adjust what you need.
• Lastly the right page is for my memories. Recording the Date, Location, Company (who I was with) and my Memory. After filling it out I will add the next block down. See my Layout as I am filling it out.

My title lettering is simple brush marker lettering where I went around it with a couple different colors. Now I drew pictures that are my ideas of summer – by the water, for example. Consequently, if you are a hiker make it walking shoes, binoculars, pop-up tent etc. On the other hand if you enjoy traveling come up with cars, roadmaps, road signs, arrows etc.

Now we have a layout where you can keep ideas, music you hear and places to go. It is a reference for next year. Finally tape a picture of your memories on the page or “hinge” it with tape so you can still see your notes. Now go have fun, make a memory and enjoy the sun.
