Summer starts soon. There are roughly 100 days of summer; that is what I call it, from the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend to the Monday of Labor Day weekend. Let’s get ready for adventures – you name it! These 100 days are yours. What do you want to do?
Before saying, “I can’t because ______,” allow yourself a moment to consider what might be possible this summer. This summer is the beginning, so be open to possibilities.
Your answer above may be your adventure this summer. Maybe being open to what comes your way is this season’s decision. Other adventure ideas include:
- Adding more fun weekly
- Beginning the first steps to the life you’ve dreamed about
- Designing your home or garden
- Developing stronger friendships or discovering new friends
- Creating a new habit or breaking an existing one. (You could substitute routine for habit. I started walking every morning before work in the summer, which was a good routine that I could continue into the fall.)
- Discover and try new activities
- Explore every outside art fair in your county.
What could happen over the next 100 days? The Summer’s Curated Fun List will touch on many ideas.
Starting the Friday before Memorial Day and over the next 100 days, we’ll:
- How to create outdoor living spaces – for one or many. Could your summer rooms use a boost? Also, we’ll visit our guest areas for the summer visitors.
- Start a journal to explore our thoughts and ideas, and check out the blog. It will be a place to make plans and capture summer activities and adventures. How will you keep your memories of this summer?
- Spend some time exploring places, hobbies, and ideas. Are you ready to step out of the house and find new interests?
- While spending time reconnecting with ourselves, family, and friends. Isn’t it time to enjoy the summer sunshine?
I know 100 days sounds like a lot, but we have over 14 weeks to explore and have fun this summer while maybe checking a few projects off our to-do lists. The Days of Summer is a module within the Curated Life Membership, offering an easy, fun summer of loving the ordinary in extraordinary ways. Please join me, sign up here, or give me a minute to explain the adventure.
Outdoor Spaces
Our Outdoor Spaces are used much more during the summer months. So let’s focus on creating beautiful porches, patios, or personal outdoor spaces that fit how we want to use them this summer. Then, let’s jump into our guest rooms to create a relaxing space for the special people we invite into our homes. A separate design module in the Membership walks you through designing these spaces to fit your life, needs, and interests. If you need a refresh, there are downloads and many blogs to help you tweak your spaces throughout the summer.
Summer’s Journal
The Summer Journal is for exploring, introspection, and planning. We will set one up to capture our summer – our thoughts, activities, and adventures. How will you keep your memories of this summer? The answer is to write, sketch, take photos, or use your talents however you can.
If you enjoy moving through the season with a little more structure and inspiration, the Summer eBook Collection offers a simple companion for the months ahead. Each eBook includes a Loving the Ordinary list, journaling prompts, seasonal activities, and ideas for enjoying home, garden, and everyday life throughout the summer. It is a wonderful way to capture the spirit of the season at your own pace. Explore the Summer eBook Collection here.
Community Zoom Gatherings
There will be a Zoom gathering to celebrate the start of summer. Let us gather together to chat and explore our summer activities. The invitation and Zoom link will be shared in the weekly Carefully Curated Life (CCL) newsletter.
DIY Projects
Finally, I will show you DIY projects on YouTube or through step-by-step blog posts. Plus, there will be journal prompts, gardening projects, decorating tips, and get-together ideas via a weekly email throughout the summer. Please sign up now to receive the weekly CCL email. If you have any questions, please email or message me, and we can chat.
Let’s get Started on your 100 Days of Summer
Grab a journal, notebook, or binder (you can print out the fun sheets and put them in it). Start now with the first fun sheet – My Summer Fun List. Think of it as your Summer Bucket List. Extra credit if you fill it out while listening to your favorite summer playlist ~ wink. Double extra as you sip on your favorite summer beverage while doing it ~ yes, this will be fun. If you are wondering, “Why?” “Why all this?” It is simple, but Life is Art, and we can love the ordinary daily.

There are many ways to participate this summer. You may join us inside the Curated Life Membership, use the Summer Journal, enjoy the Summer eBook Collection, or simply follow along through the weekly newsletter. Choose the path that best fits your season and schedule. The goal is not to do everything; it is to notice, experience, and enjoy the days before us.
This Summer, let us open ourselves to the idea of adventure. The official definition of adventure is ‘an exciting or very unusual experience.’ I want us to focus on experience as the key to our Summer adventures. What kind of experiences do you wish for this Summer? The next 100 days of summer may hold more possibilities than you imagine.
PS ~ I have two BHAGs this summer – one is to finish renovating my home, and the other is to explore the new city we’re living in. Finally, here is a picture of me filling out my Curated Life Journal with my Summer Fun List. What does your Summer Fun List look like? Fill out your list, and then please share a picture in the Facebook group.

You can download both of these when you sign up to start your Days of Summer Adventure. The one is for a bullet journal or download the Fun Sheet and start a Summer Binder
